Mock up for book design for 'Invisible' Visible Illusion Book. Case, slip cover and book design was based on the theme of illusion. Theories and methods linked with the visual process, perception and the basic forms of illusion were explored to compile a concertina book. Derived from my initial fascination with sight and the tricks it can play with our minds, the book is a tactile result of my study of such subjects as the optical process, perception and the illusive nature of our most trusted sense. Minimal and simplistically styled the book is designed so as not to effect the viewer impression or opinion. The palette, type, illustrations and even the format of the book was chosen carefully in consideration of the subject matter.
